My core services

Alexa Expeditor Services offers a comprehensive range of project management and permit expediting services designed to navigate the complexities of development and construction. We provide tailored solutions to ensure your project stays on track and compliant.

Permit Expediting

Permits are required for many building projects today: from removing or relocating trees, installing a carport or patio, making property improvements, to constructing a new home or commercial building. Let me navigate the permitting process for you and make sure your project keeps moving forward. With my experience and familiarity with local jurisdictional requirements, I can help identify what permits are needed, coordinate the required documents and professionals, communicate with the appropriate agencies, and guide your project through plan review and approval.

Recreational Cabin Conversion and Legalization

I have a network of professionals who can provide the drawings, engineering, and reports needed to efficiently legalize properties, whether you are dealing with an unpermitted remodel or converting a Recreational Cabin to a legally recognized Single-Family Residence. My familiarity with California Building & Safety requirements and local jurisdictional processes allows me to identify the most efficient legalization pathway, helping you avoid unnecessary work, excess repeat submissions, and wasted time and money.

Permit Research

A property's tax records or listing description don't always tell the full story. I can research a property's permit and building history, legal status, unpermitted improvements, and open Code Enforcement cases, then provide a cost analysis for bringing the property into compliance. This information is invaluable before purchasing or selling a property. Knowing what you are actually buying, or what needs to be addressed before you sell, can prevent unexpected costs and give you the information needed to make an informed decision about the property's value.

Code Enforcement Resolution

I assist property owners with code enforcement case resolution, including researching violations, determining what permits or approvals are required, coordinating with the appropriate agencies and professionals, and guiding the property toward compliance. Rather than navigating the process alone or guessing at what the jurisdiction requires, I help identify exactly what needs to be addressed and develop a practical path toward resolution.

Project Feasibility

Before investing significant time and money into a development project, it is important to understand what is actually possible. I research zoning, entitlements, hazards, utilities, permitting requirements, timelines, and anticipated costs to identify potential obstacles before they become expensive problems. The earlier potential issues are identified, the more options you have to address them, and the less likely you are to spend money designing a project that cannot be approved as planned.

Project Management

Let us manage communication with the county and coordinate with the people on your project team, including drafters, engineers, and consultants, to keep the permitting process moving and get your project ready to break ground. Instead of spending your time learning the permitting process, tracking down answers, and coordinating multiple professionals, you can focus on the design and the details that make your project yours.

Highlight of Recent Successful Permits and Projects

was fully permitted after a year of effort and
communication with the county.

This project was a small SFR on a Fault Hazard Zone. Both
Geotechnical and Geological reports were required which I
coordinated for the client. This project took 20 months of
coordination with various specialists and the county.

Twentynine Palms, CA. This was a simple design with no
hazards, and the full permitting process took 12 weeks.
